Carp Acres

Carleton Growers, a division of Carp Acres Inc. was founded in 1969. Carleton Growers, a 97.2 acre farm was purchased from the Hogg family, the daughter of the original founder by the Carp Ridge Learning Centre, a registered charity.

Food for the soul is what Carleton Growers produce in their 2 acres of glass greenhouses in Carp (located just outside Ottawa).

While specializing in roses, this year-round operation – the only one of its kind in Eastern Ontario – also boasts a vast array of cut flowers.

Our production consists of a wide assortment of cut flowers including roses, Asiatic and oriental lilies, Lisianthus, delphinium, snapdragon, dahlia, aster, zinnia and sunflowers. In addition to cut flowers, Carleton Growers will be expanding into vegetable production in the coming months. Carleton Growers is also known for its unique “Rose Patio Planters”.  

Since January 2011, the greenhouse growing processes have under gone changes. There has been a shift to pesticide free growing using only natural and food grade products to nurture and care for the plants, including the roses and rose patio planters.
